Yes, I said it. There is only one reason you need to have a website, and that is to keep from losing business. Most people create websites to gain business and when they don’t get the business they are not happy. Little do they know they are not losing business. Having a website makes you look real, professional, and legit.
These days before people start doing business with someone they check out their website. What happens when you don’t have a website? You are placing negative thoughts in their head. “Is this company going to be around?”, “what is the reason for not having a website?”, “are they trying to hide something?”, and many other corrupt thoughts.
When you have a website you are showing them who you are, what your values are and what you do. You are telling the client you are serious about what you do, you want the world to know who you are, and you plan on staying around.
Ok, it is not the only reason to have a website, but people need to realize that it is the most important, ranking just above being really, really cool.
